Admin Tips Carousel

Starting in June, 2016, we will change the way Admin Tips are viewed in communities.  This change includes displaying any "pinned" Admin Tips (up to 5) in an image carousel at the top of the community feed.  

We have also included a link to "View More" a little notification number to show a member that there are new Admin Tips that have been posted recently.

This change will allow admins to have more information easily accessible to members, as well as taking up less room in the feed, increasing engagement with members, who will see items more quickly.

How does the carousel work?

Any pinned admin tip (up to 5 tips) will automatically be visible in the carousel.  Simply pin one, two or up to five different tips, and they will be visible by swiping/clicking left and right at the top of the feed.  

How do I change the order of the admin tips?

The most recently bumped (or active) tip will be the first image, so simply bump the one that you want to be first.  So, this way, the admin team can determine which order the admin tips will be displayed.

What if I have more than 5 Admin Tips pinned?

The five tips with the most recent activity will appear in the carousel.  If another tip gets bumped, it will move into the carousel, and the least active tip will rotate out.  

What if I need to bump another admin's tips?

You can use the Admin Tips Tool to bump tips that are not posted by you.  

Will Admin Tips show in the feed if I bump them?  

No, Admin Tips don't show in the feed when bumped, as they are handled in a separate way than other "item" posts.  They are visible directly from the Admin Tips category, and members will receive a notification if they are tagged.
